SW9 is a high-speed steel (HSS), belonging to the group of alloy tool steels. It is characterised by high abrasion resistance and the ability to work at elevated temperatures, which makes it widely used in the production of cutting tools.
Thanks to the content of alloying elements, such as tungsten, chromium, and vanadium, SW9 steel maintains its hardness even during intensive work. In practice, this means greater tool durability and the possibility of using them in demanding machining processes.
