What is carbide with solder?

Carbide with solder is a tool material with high hardness and wear resistance, used, amongst others, in cutting tools and industrial components. Most often, it occurs in combination with other materials (e.g., steel), to which it is permanently attached using solder.

The carbide constitutes only a part of the element, which is why its valuation requires an assessment of the composition of the entire material.

The price is determined individually and depends primarily on:

the share of carbide in the whole element
the type of additional materials (e.g., steel, solder)
the possibility of separating the carbide from the remaining materials
the quantity and form of the material

An accurate valuation is based on material analysis, thanks to which its real value can be established.
